A new member of the family is always a fabulous reason to celebrate and this one is no exception. Ladies and Gentlemen, I'd like you to meet our new arrival - my long awaited and eagerly anticipated, Nikon D850 body.
What is more it gives me a couple of weeks to get used to it before I go to Kuala Lumpur and Borneo! #NikonD850 #D850 #Nikon70200f28FLEDVR #ProfessionalphotographerBlackpool
I'm not going to say a great deal about this image as I think it largely speaks for itself. It's 'that' time of year again (Autumn/Fall) when the trees and plants produce a wonderful display of colour that are a photographer's dream and the photographer generally ends up getting very wet! #autumn #fall #Landscapephotography #LandscapePhotographer #lakedistrict
I've been revisiting a few of my older photos, reprocessing the raw files with the latest versions of the RAW converter (in this case, Adobe Lightroom). This is why I and so many other photographers shoot in raw format. You will always extract more image information and have greater flexibility in processing a raw file than you will with a straight JPEG or even a TIFF file (do any cameras still shoot in TIFF?).

Over the years, Nikon has produced a number of versions of their classic 70-200mm lens most with a superb f/2.8 maximum aperture and a lighter (and cheaper) f/4 version. The latest 70-200mm
Self indulgence time. There are 4 great loves in my life: my wonderful hard working and very patient partner, photography, a nice bottle of wine and my dogs.
I am 'Daddy' to three gorgeous Labradoodles - Lily, Barney and their 'puppy', Dolly. I've taken so many photos of them over the last few years which is quite an achievement as they rarely sit still for long. Yesterday, I received a new Nikon 85mm f/1.8 lens which is great for portraits and many other subjects and tha
I first started my life as a full time professional photographer about 16 years ago (shocking how time passes by). In that time I have photographed everything from cans of Coke to Prime Ministers and members of the Royal Family. Without a doubt though, the most satisfaction came from my long period as a wedding photographer. It's incredibly hard work. Few people realise the concentration, physical demands and energy that are required of the photographer on the day as well as
